Boulder – Aug 25, 2004 - For the fourth time in twelve months, 5.12 Solutions (Five-Twelve Solutions), the Rocky Mountain region’s most innovative corporate training and consulting firm, has been hired by the State of Colorado. On August 31, 2004 the State’s Department of Personnel and Administration’s Division of Central Services based in Denver, CO, will participate in a full-day workshop at Chautauqua Park in Boulder.
During the workshop, 18 supervisors from various operational areas within the Division will work on team building, coaching and mentoring skills, goal development and communication. The event content will be a mix of traditional organizational training and 5.12 Solutions’ signature High Tech Treasure Hunt, where teams use GPS devices, two-way radios, maps and each other to complete problem-solving initiatives. Last spring, 5.12 Solutions became one of the first Colorado-based training companies to integrate this skill, known as Geocaching, into its suite of team building and leadership development programs. This training method doesn’t necessarily teach a particular skill, but rather brings to life the necessity of teamwork to win the prize.
“The State of Colorado continues to be one of our top clients. It’s great to see their dedication to leadership and excellence, ” said Sal Silvester, founder of 5.12 Solutions. “We look forward to another high energy, experiential program. I believe our relationship has taken off across several of their key departments because, as an organization, they understand the value of making learning truly unforgettable.”
Silvester also worked with Colorado’s Department of Revenue doing team building and communication innovation activities last September. He also incorporated rock climbing into the Department of Human Services’ leadership program last August. And, during the State Managers conference in May, 5.12 Solutions conducted a leadership workshop and provided the keynote address.
During its relatively short history, 5.12 Solutions has established an impressive track record of inspiring leadership in large and small companies and organizations including Caterpillar, Corporate Express, State of Colorado, Berkshire School, Intellisource and Cherry Creek Mortgage.
Boulder based 5.12 solutions works with individuals and teams to inspire innovation across people, projects and processes.
