Do it Now!

For example, is it easier for you to not face the fact that you have more debt than assets, (not including your mortgage) which really means you are broke? Yes BROKE.

Is it easier for you to remain in your current job than to truly define your purpose and do what you are passionate about?

Is it easier for you not to face the fact that you are overweight and making poor decisions about your health instead of living life to the fullest?

Is it easier for you to not face the fact that even though you can “quit any time” you don’t, and you really have an addiction?

“They” say that life is too short, and, in this case, “they” are right. After Michael Landon was diagnosed with cancer at the young age of 54 and before he died, he said:

“Somebody ought to tell us, right at the start of our lives, that we are dying. Then we might live life to the limit every minute of every day. Do it, I say, whatever you want to do, do it now.”

You can create the life you want – financially, personally, and professionally – and it all starts with a simple decision. A decision to do it now!

Think about how empowering it would be if you made a decision to know exactly how much you needed to save every year to reach your financial goals and then took the action steps to create that financial freedom. Think about how empowering it would be if you made a decision to create your life’s purpose, and then you took the steps every day to work toward living your purpose. Think about how empowering it would be if you made a decision to learn about how to live a healthy life and then took the steps every day to make choices that would provide you with a wealth of energy and vitality.

With the turn of every year comes an opportunity to create what we want and to make those decisions. And with each new decision comes a new direction. So, as you enter the coming year, take the time to define what you want in every aspect of your life. On the personal side set goals for areas such as fitness, health, time with your family, savings, spirituality, and “things” you want to buy. On the professional side set goals related to your career, professional development, a better work/life balance, and financials. Follow-up each of your goals with a detailed action plan, and then create a support structure to keep you on track throughout the year.

Make a decision now to create the life you want, and in Michael Landon’s words, live life to the limit, every minute of every day.
