We continue with our Future of Work podcast season with an interview with Joe Saboe, a former captain in US Army and current tech executive in Denver, and Russell Worth Parker, a writer, speaker, and recently retired US Marine Corps special operations officer.
When the situation in Afghanistan grew desperate in the summer of 2021, I was shocked and disturbed to see people and families trapped on the wrong side of the gates at the airport and in Kabul. These two leaders decided to take action.
That action came in the form of Team America Relief, a group of citizen liaison volunteers (CLVs) initially brought together by Saboe, and who—through their collective knowledge, open-source information, and hard work—support ongoing evacuation efforts in Afghanistan.
You won’t want to miss the leadership lessons embedded in this episode. These innovative leaders are fearless and their actions are inspirational.
